Golu Devta is famously regarded as God of justice .  Other well-known temples of Golu Devta are located in Ghorakhal and Champawat. Lord Golu is considered as the god of justice; every day, hundreds of believers submit their wishes on paper (sometimes on stamp paper) in his temple. They have a firm belief that the Lord of fairness will accept all requests which are made with a clean conscience. When the wishes are fulfilled, devotees express their happiness and gratitude by tying bells around the temple premises. Golu Devata or Lord Golu is the legendary mythological and historical God of the Kumaun region and is their deity. The Dana Golu devata Gairar, temple is about 2 km from the main gate of Binsar wildlife sanctuary & about 15 km. from Almora. Origin Golu Devata is thought to be as an incarnation of Gaur Bhairav (Shiva), and is worshipped all over the region and regarded as the dispenser of justice by the devotees with extreme faith.

Garjiya Devi Temple is located in the Garjiya village near Ramnager on Nainital disttrict,uttrakhand .it is situated on the outskits of the the Corbett National park .It is situted on a huge rock in midst of river kosi .

Archaeologists state that the oldest settlement of Kumanchal was near Dhikuli,where the present Ramnager is located.  Girija Devi Temple is located at Gadiya, 12 kilometers from Ramnagar on Dickla Road. It is a sacred Shakti temple where Girija Devi is the Mukha Devi. The temple is built on a rock in the middle of the Kosi River and thousands of devotees visit to visit the deity during Kartik Purnima, a Hindu holy day celebrated on the fifteenth lunar day (November-December). It is also known as the festival of lights of the gods. Goddess Girija is the daughter of Himalayas and the consort of Lord Shiva. This temple was known to the temple to very few people till 1940, but in recent years the number of devotees has increased to millions. The modern temple was rebuilt in 1970. It is believed that during the flood in the Kosi river, it came automatically along with the temple rock. . The temple of Lakshmi-Narayan is also a temple in Purvamsa. Statues of this temple were found here during excavation. It is believed that the prayer here is not complete until after the worship of Girija Devi, Bhairav ​​is also worshiped.


The temple retated to Mata parvati which is locked in the district of Nanda Devi. Every 12 years, Nanda Devi Raj Jat is the most popular celebration of the area where devi Nanda, in the form of sheep- decorated with ornaments, food, and clothing- is sent to her home Trishul peak with music, local folk songs and dances. Dev Bhoomi Uttarakhand preserves the mythical stories connected to every rock, peaks, rivers and villages. Gods and goddesses traded around the Himalayan state in ancient times and left their marks for people to preserve the traditions. The gifted land was just not traded by the divine figures but also lived and blessed. The prominent goddess of Hindu mythology ‘Nanda’ [widely known as Parvati, Gauri (brilliant), Uma (light), Kali (dark) and Bhairavi (terrible)] is believed to be born of Dakshyaprajapati, a King of Garhwal in ancient times. Highly honored by the locals and widely popular in Uttarakhand, Nanda Devi temple holds the dignity of being the ruling deity of Kumaun region and Kumauni people boost on being in the land where goddess Nanda was born.
